Professor Araiza's particular interests are in operator space and operator system theory, and their applications to quantum information theory. In particular, he is interested in how to use techniques in operator space/system theory to characterize correlation sets which arise naturally in quantum information theory. The coincidence of particular sets of correlations has been proven to have deep connections with longstanding problems in operator algebras.
